Job description & requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Agency Payroll, Commissions & Benefits
- Prepare, validate, and process monthly agency payroll, commissions, overrides, retainers, incentives, and approved benefits within established timelines.
- Process adjustments, reversals, clawbacks, advances, recoveries, and statutory or authorized deductions accurately.
- Maintain agent benefit, allowance, and entitlement records, including enrollment, claims administration, and exit benefit processes.
- Implement approved career path programs, sales force benefits, incentive schemes, and campaigns in line with company policies.
Data Management, Reconciliations & Controls
- Verify and maintain accurate agent master data, bank details, tax information, agency codes, and remuneration records.
- Reconcile remuneration, payroll, benefits, policy, and finance data across relevant systems, including the General Ledger.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, duplicate or missing payments, incorrect deductions, and outstanding account balances.
- Maintain complete audit trails and support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and control improvement initiatives.
Agency Operations Support
- Track sales force account debits and credits, ensuring accurate recovery and clearance of advances and outstanding balances.
- Support coding of sales teams in accordance with company guidelines.
- Facilitate onboarding of sales teams and ensure provision of approved tools of trade.
- Coordinate sales management meetings, awards forums, and other agency support activities as assigned.
- Support learning and development initiatives for the sales force, including coordination of training programs and academies.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare monthly reports and analysis on commissions, payroll, incentives, benefits utilization, deductions, recoveries, variances, and outstanding issues.
- Track, report, and maintain records for sales force business acquisition activities, employer markets, and partnerships.
- Respond promptly to remuneration and benefits-related queries and provide statements where required.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational, payroll, and benefits administration issues, escalating high-risk matters where necessary.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, delegated authority limits, regulatory requirements, and applicable tax laws related to payroll and benefits administration.
- Safeguard confidentiality of payroll and remuneration information.
- Identify process improvement opportunities through reviews, audits, and data analytics.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Insurance, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience in payroll, commissions, agency operations, finance, benefits administration, or insurance operations.
- Working knowledge of payroll systems, ERP systems, insurance administration systems, agency management systems, and advanced Excel.
